I can't be bought

I ask for you vote on August 2nd

As I’ve walked door to door, I’ve listened to your frustrations as to what career politicians are doing to our country. My response, it’s time for We the People to take our country back beginning right here, right now in Kansas 3rd District.

We all know many of our politicians are bought and paid for by big multi-national corporations. The unfortunate truth, our Congressman, Kevin Yoder is the poster boy for this massive corruption.

Go look it up, Citigroup amendment Kevin Yoder, Payday loan ethics investigation Kevin Yoder. It’s all there for all to see.

I served you for 28 years from combat infantry in the Gulf War to Logistics Officer in Baghdad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZPHutRm2kE. I will fight for you not big money elites who believe they can buy whatever and whoever they want. To big money I have news, I will not take ANY PAC money, I am not for sale.

I ask for you vote on August 2nd, God bless you and God bless America.

Yoder is Corrupt

*Greg Goode Comments on Letter to 3rd District Voters with Details on Yoder's Corruption*

By Media Relations, Lt. Colonel Greg Goode (Retired) for Congress

16 July, 2016

On Aug 2nd, 2016, It's time to send a message to Washington DC and Vote the Political Class OUT!!!

“We the People” don’t have the ability to print money as they can in Washington, “We the People” don’t have the insider’s access to the moneyed class; what we do have is the power of our vote. Our government belongs to us; it’s time to take it back!

Let's fight back against Yoder's $2.4 million campaign fund. We sent out 7500 letters to voters in the 3rd District to provide the necessary details for revealing the facts of Yoder's corruption. Download and send the Yoder Corruption Letter  to everyone you know. This letter is the result of months of extensive research checking and rechecking the facts and it is true. From Hillary Clinton, to Paul Ryan and our Congressman Kevin Yoder, they are ALL bought and paid for by big Wall Street banks.

I am Greg Goode, a Candidate for the US House of Representatives, Kansas 3rd District, and I approved this message.

Goode is the Goode Choice for Kansas 3rd District

You have a Goode Choice for KANSAS 3RD District

*I announced my candidacy for the 3rd District to give the voters a choice….a Goode Choice. As a father, Soldier for Life and a concerned, hardworking American, I am very disturbed to see how the political system is manipulated by a political establishment dominated by career politicians and the political class.*

Career POliticians

Greg: I don’t like career politicians. I have earned a military retirement, healthcare and will not attempt to gain another Federal retirement as a Congressman. I do not and will not accept PAC money. My message to ALL future representatives as they contemplate becoming a public servant: You represent your constituents and not Political Action Committees or other special interests to include your own.

Kevin: Yoder has been in political office since 2003 (8 years in KS House) and is seeking re-election for a fourth term in Congress. Kevin is obviously a career politician fully funded by Washington DC based PACs ($843k). Kevin’s financial disclosure reveals he opted into the Kansas retirement system (KPERS) and was fully vested in the Federal retirement after 5 years in Congress.

Federal GOVERNMENT Insane Spending

*Greg: *The federal deficit is currently at $19 trillion, growing and unsustainable. We, outside the political class, work hard, budget our money and try to save for the future. Yet, our efforts are minimized by an insatiable desire by the career politicians to spend our hard earned tax dollars in exchange for political favors. Their excessive government spending has fueled government growth. A growing government can only mean more regulation, more interference and more invasive activity to undermine all aspects of our freedom in America.

Kevin: Voted for (He was the only member of the KS House Delegation to vote Yea) the FY2016 spending in the Omnibus. It is $50 billion higher than the original Budget Control Act of 2011 (BCA) levels. That bipartisan budget Act set a maximum amount of discretionary spending, not a spending goal that had to be obtained. Since its enactment in 2011, the Budget Control Act caps set by the law have *been exceeded each year Kevin has been in Congress.* He has not demonstrated any ability to remain steadfast in the face of Political Action Committee pressures.

National security

Greg: I have had real life experience of maintaining the integrity of then West Germany’s border for 2 years during the cold war. A secured border is crucial for our national defense from foreign and domestic enemies; securing our nation is required under Article 4, Section 4 of the US Constitution. Unfortunately, our borders have now have been made a mockery as our immigration laws are unconstitutionally ignored or suspended by the Executive branch. This is unconscionable and dangerous as it allows illegal activity to flow across our border unimpeded. We must defend our borders (Men, Weapons and Equipment) and demand immigration laws be in place to put America first, not the rest of the world.

Kevin: *Yoder has done nothing to defend our Nation’s borders since a 3 day inspection tour in Aug 2013.* The 2016 Omnibus Bill, for which Yoder voted ‘Yea’, did nothing to fund the wall or curb the flow of refugees; as a matter of fact, it fully funded Obama’s executive amnesty and refugee programs. There were only 30 miles of fence built by Obama. The original bill signed by President Bush authorized 700 miles of fence.

SYRIAN REFUGEES

Greg: I will vote to defund federal government efforts that allow terrorists to come here under the guise of Syrian refugees. Yes, that may mean shutting the US Government down as Congress exercises the power of the purse.

Kevin: Despite all his rhetoric, Kevin voted for the Omnibus spending bill. It fully funds every U.S. immigration program currently in existence. The legislation approved funding for the issuance of nearly three hundred thousand visas to migrants from Muslim countries in the next year alone. Kevin’s vote funds Obama’s Syrian refugee resettlement operation, all Mideast immigration programs, Sanctuary Cities, Obama’s continued executive amnesty for DREAMers, and the resettlement of illegal aliens within the U.S. interior.

2nd Amendment

Greg: I have lived and operated in countries where only the Police have weapons. We call these “Police States”. I will not stand idle in the face of attempts to turn our country into a Police State. Our 2nd Amendment is the second amendment for a purpose. The key reason it was included within the Bill of Rights was to provide for the defense of the citizenry from a rogue government, not for hunting privileges.

Kevin: He has yielded in the face of liberal assaults on every aspect of our freedoms. He won’t even put an elephant on his campaign signs. If you follow the $ you can find liberal Kevin!

TAXES

Greg: I oppose new taxes and will not vote to raise taxes. I will actively pursue a smaller government, not expand it. I will look for ways to reduce taxes, including corporate income tax and income taxes on military and social security benefits. Typical Americans deserve a break from ever increasing taxes. As a Fair Tax advocate, your gross pay should be your net pay. I signed the Reject the Debt pledge from the Coalition to Reduce Spending.

Kevin: His most recent vote to increase government spending was the Dec 2015 Omnibus Spending Bill. Spending more Federal $ does not give us a smaller government. Kevin has been in Congress for six years and the Fair Tax Act has not moved during his time in Congress…too bad Kevin can’t get this bill to move as he did get the Citigroup Amendment into the 2015 Cromnibus bill.

Picking Winners and Losers (taxpayers)

Greg: I believe the government should create a level playing field on which businesses compete – not pick winners and losers. I will fight to remove outdated and unnecessary regulations, laws and licensing requirements which favor certain businesses. No industry should use the taxpayer to bail them out of risky investments.

*Kevin: * Allowed the Citigroup amendment (hand-written by lobbyists from Citigroup — with two crucial paragraphs were pulled verbatim) into the Cromnibus bill to avoid the normal policymaking process. He introduced the measure straight into the appropriations process thereby making policy in a spending bill that was intended to fund basic government services. This amendment allows the country’s too-big-to-fail banks to gamble on derivatives – the exotic financial instruments which helped precipitate the last crisis – with funds that are insured by taxpayers. As a member of the Appropriation Committee, Kevin *Yoder’s amendment was approved without a formal, recorded vote. *

COMMON CORE AND EDUCATION IN Kansas

Greg: I oppose Common Core and will fight to eliminate the US Dept. of Education (DOE). The mere existence of DOE runs counter to the conservative principle that small government, local control, and family-based decisions work best. As your Representative, I’ll reverse the trend of giving up our decision-making power to D.C. bureaucrats. We must allow local school districts to choose curricula and standards from a menu of options (which must include non-Common Core-based options) none of which are provided by the Federal DOE or National Governors Association. I strongly believe Kansas Teachers are integral components of the education system and parents have the ultimate responsibility for educating their children. The US DOE did not exist before President Jimmy Carter….the US DOE should have been voted out with him. We must close this invasive bureaucracy.

Kevin: He stood idle as Common Core was forced on Kansas as a sitting KS House member when it was adopted in 2010 (Kansas College and Career Ready Standards). During his time as a sitting Kansas US Congressman, US DOE made the Common Core a requirement to qualify for a grant. Kevin voted for the continued federal government control over the education of Kansas children – Dec 2015 THE STUDENT SUCCESS ACT (H.R. 5). http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2015/roll423.xml The SSA is the House version of ESSA and both are mandate(s) from Washington for our local school boards to follow.

Pro LIfe

Greg: I understand that life begins at conception and fully support the efforts grounded in our Kansas Republican Party platform to the same end. Heartbreaking videos provided by the Center for Medical Progress, proved Planned Parenthood’s mission is not just abortion, but the sale of aborted baby parts. This takes the abortion debate to an entirely different and disturbing level. I will support and vote in in favor of any bill that defunds Planned Parenthood.

Kevin: His vote was in the ‘Yea’ column for the Dec. 18th, 2015 Omnibus bill, which provided full funding for Planned Parenthood. Kevin had a variety of excuses; he didn’t want to close the government down. Kansans for Life excuse for continuing to endorse Yoder, “we did not score that vote”. Then later, in a Jan 2016 house speech, Kevin said,” The House will also defund organizations that engage in the horrific and sad process of dissecting and harvesting aborted baby organs and reinvest that money in organizations that are truly focused on women's health care.” A definite conflict between Kevin’s voting record and what he says!

Defund Obmacare

Greg: Any discerning individual realizes that when something must be forced upon the masses, that ‘something’ can’t be good for the masses. We are constantly told how many times the Republicans have voted to save us from Obamacare. Yet, these votes seemed to be nothing more than theatrics and not action. I will follow through with action to defund Obamacare at every opportunity to include shutting down the government.

*Kevin: * When there was a genuine opportunity to defund Obamacare, how did your congressman vote? He voted for fully funding of Obama Care as part of the Omnibus Spending bill in Dec 2015 and Cromnibus bill in 2014. Kevin attacked us, via our healthcare system, by voting in favor of these spending bills!

Goode Miami County GOP Meeting Address

For Immediate Release:

Greg Goode addresses Miami County Kansas Republican Party Meeting

By Media Relations, Lt. Colonel Greg Goode, USA( (Retired) for Congress

27 June, 2016

US House Congressional District #3 of Kansas – Greg Goode, GOP Candidate, addressed the 23 June GOP meeting at the Paola Cultural Center’s International Room, 905 East Wea Street, in Paola Kansas. Goode was asked to provide the address by Miami County GOP Chair Carrie Gregar.

Goode’s remarks centered on voter’s responses he has received since beginning his campaign on the 6th of May. He indicated the vast majority of voters are frustrated with the current Republican Party establishment. The voters don’t understand how Republicans can control the Kansas and Federal legislative bodies yet nothing gets done at the State or Federal level. Goode went on to say he is not surprised and said the voters should not be surprised either. The current state of affairs is the result of sending career politicians to Washington DC.

Goode elaborated on his response and provided details with FEC numbers illustrating how Yoder, a career politician, is guided by donors instead of voters. And, the majority of Yoder’s donors are from by the finance, banking and insurance industries (430 Political Action Committees (PAC) and 492 large donors). Goode differentiated his campaign and said, “My campaign does not take any PAC money. Voters know who Yoder is taking money from and what special interest groups are determining how he votes and how he writes legislation.”

Goode also echoed his initial campaign announcement, “Our everyday citizens are true patriots that are smart, engaged and passionate about relevant topics and voice their concerns to their elected representatives. Yet our elected representatives’ respond as if the voters are not engaged on the issues. Goode said, “Career politicians” typically respond to voters in one of three ways. They equivocate, prevaricate or fabricate; they dance around the issue; they lie about the issue; or just make stuff up.”

It is up to the voters to hold Yoder accountable. Yet, without a primary challenger, the GOP voters do not have a choice. Goode stated, “Yoder has not faced a primary opponent since winning the open seat in 2010”. That was the last time there was a Republican Party primary challenger in the 3rd Congressional District.

Goode, a US Army retired Lieutenant Colonel, revealed the need for leaders vs politicians in Washington. In his career as an Army Officer, he was known as a Maverick and will bring that spirit with his demonstrated leadership abilities to represent the 3rd District in Washington. Goode gives voters choice on Aug 2…a Goode choice!

Immigration Mafia

For Immediate Release:

Greg Goode Comments on Dangerous Borders

By Media Relations, Lt. Colonel Greg Goode (Retired) for Congress

15 June, 2016

Our unsecure and dangerous borders are brought to us by a powerful pro-illegal immigration mafia http://tinyurl.com/ot5n7ls (a group that continues to undermine our current immigration laws) headed by then Senator Sam Brownback and his young protégé Paul Ryan. This mafia has worked for decades to take care of their big corporate donors.

Congressman Kevin Yoder has joined their mafia. On December 18, 2015 he joined Senator Pat Roberts as the *ONLY member of the Kansas House delegation http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2015/roll705.xml* to vote for the Omnibus spending bill.

Yoder’s vote *FULLY FUNDED sanctuary cities http://dailysignal.com/2015/12/16/whats-wrong-with-the-massive-omnibus-spending-bill/*, illegal amnesty, Obama’s increased refugee program and did NOT fund the wall.

I ask for your vote on August 2nd. Send me to Congress; I will stand up to the big corporations, the open borders mafia and Make America Safe Again.

I am Greg Goode, a Candidate for the US House of Representatives, Kansas 3rd District, and I approved this message.

Issue Talking Points

The Insane Spending – How do we stop it…Fair Tax…Repeal the Johnson Amendment

Our representatives vote to spend money when there is no money, but when we overspend our homes and cars are repossessed? It is just a continuation the mountainous debt………..what a disgraceful inheritance to leave to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Much of the blame lies in ignoring the 10th Amendment that reserves state’s rights over that which is not explicitly determined to a matter for the Federal Government. Over the decades, federal government has encroached on state’s rights by accepting federal dollars with many, many strings attached. An example is education, local and state school boards have been neutered by Washington? How? The federal government merely prints money and then blackmails our School district into submission; submission to Federal Government education policies and guidelines. This exchange of money for federal Department of Education influence in our local schools was described by Ronald Reagan as a ‘A bureaucratic boondoggle’ was Reagan’s May 4, 1980. Now is the time to heed his call for the closure the US Department of Education.

Illegal Immigration, Border Security, National Security

I have had real life experience of maintaining the integrity of then West Germany’s border for 2 years during the cold war. A secured border is crucial for our national defense from foreign and domestic enemies. Unfortunately, our borders have now have been made a mockery as our immigration laws are unconstitutionally ignored or suspended by the Executive branch. This is unconscionable and dangerous as it allows illegal activity to flow across our border unimpeded. The Omnibus Bill, for which your 3rd District Congressman voted ‘Yea’, provided funding to permanently resettle 170,000 Syrian refugees plus the quadrupling of H2B visas. Enough is enough, sanity must be restored by defending our borders and demanding immigration laws be in place to put America first, not the rest of the world.

2nd Amendment –

Anyone with knowledge of the 2nd Amendment within the context of our Nation’s history, recognizes the key reason it was included within the Bill of Rights was to provide for the defense of the citizenry from a rogue government, not for hunting privileges.

Stop Bank Bailouts

Among your congressman’s largest contributors are those within the finance industry, big, big bucks from Big Wall Street Banks for big, big favors. In 2014, according to the Huffington Post (hardly a right-leaning publication), Your representative introduced a provision that had been written by Citigroup executives. 85% percent of the amendment was lifted from an email from Citigroup. These favors granted in return for campaign contributions is behavior that must destroyed at the roots…. the people must throw the bums out of office.

Defund ObamaCare –

Any discerning individual realizes that when something must be forced upon the masses, that ‘something’ can’t be good for the masses. We are constantly told how many times the Republicans have voted to save us from ObamaCare. Yet, these votes seemed to be nothing more than theatrics and not action, but, when there was a genuine opportunity to defund ObamaCare, how did your congressman vote? He voted for fully funding this attack upon us, via our healthcare system, by voting in favor of the latest omnibus bill!

Protection of Life –

Heartbreaking videos provided by the Center for Medical Progress, proved Planned Parenthood’s mission is not just abortion, but the sale of aborted baby parts. This takes the abortion debate to an entirely different and disturbing level. And how did our Congressman vote on full funding for Planned Parenthood? His vote was in the ‘yea’ column for the Dec. 18th, 2015 Omnibus bill, which provided full funding for Planned Parenthood.

Our Congressman’s had a variety of excuses; he didn’t want to close the government down. Kansans for Life excuse for continuing to endorse Yoder, “we did not score that vote”

Education – Stop Common Core and Regain & Retain Local Control (parents and taxpayers) -

Our educational system has been hijacked for several decades by both the State and Federal Department’s of Education. It is time to re-seize control of our educational system at the local level, close the Department of Education and eliminate Common Core. Common Core has been forced upon an unsuspecting public hopes of higher achievement for education. Instead, the public received a curriculum that eliminated standards in exchange for adaptive learning whereby no student fails. Additionally, the children in public and subscribing parochial schools participate in the US government’s data mining. This is a massive effort to gain children’s personal data that is unobtainable or even prohibited through other means. The data is stored and shared in in place to be used for much more than educational purposes. The privacy invasion isn’t just a federal wrong; there’s state-level invasion of local control, too: to be specific, our state’s robbing parents of the right to fully govern their own children as current systems do not allow individual student data to be withheld from the data submission process.

Memorial Day Address

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming out this morning to attend this memorial for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that have fallen during battle. It is with great honor that I provide you with a few comments to help remember those individuals on this special day, Memorial Day 2016.

25 years ago, as a seasoned First Lieutenant, I stood before a battalion of soldiers during a pause on the battle field in Kuwait during the first Gulf War. The pause was necessary to provide a brief memorial for those that we had lost in the previous 72 hours. I say necessary because, the battalion had to move on. We had our next mission and we all understood that those of us left living must continue the fight. It was our duty to continue the fight because we were Soldiers. Yet, to move on to the next mission, we knew we must be able to collectively put our soldiers to rest.

Understanding, we were operating under battlefield conditions, a military funeral was not appropriate. For these instances, US Army organizations conduct memorial services on the battlefield. The services consist of a short eulogy from unit leaders, a prayer service by the battalion chaplain and a final roll call.

The final Roll Call is specifically conducted within a unit as a memorial for fallen comrades. The call is conducted in front of a rifle, boots, helmet and dog tags erected for each soldier lost. The name of the deceased is called 3 times for the final role call of a unit while in formation. The silence in response to the soldier’s name called 3 times during the “Final Role Call” is formal recognition for the permanent loss of a member within the unit.

Today, we remember all those individuals that have fallen on our Nation’s battle fields. Not that we don’t remember them every day, but it is very important to come together as a family….families of veterans , like us soldiers came together on the battlefield to honor the memory of our fallen comrades in arms.

It is important to us, as a nation, to carry on the fight that our fallen comrades so gallantly provided their lives for. And, in order to do that, we gather, just as we gathered during the final roll call on the battlefields far away from home as our nation called us to be.

So, I join you to remember those who are no longer with us and celebrate Memorial Day in memory of their sacrifice. We, through them, know first hand, freedom is not free.

We do and always will remember their ultimate sacrifice with humble gratitude as we come together on this and every Memorial Day.

Thank you very much for attending…God Bless the United States of America.

Omnibus Overview

Greg Goode for Congress Press Release

Just because we’re in the 3rd District in Kansas doesn’t mean we should come in third (or lower) on Representative Yoder’s list of priorities! Shouldn’t we be first on the list, ahead of the President’s agenda and Speaker Ryan’s agenda?

Our current 3rd District Congressman (along with Sen Pat Roberts), was the only Kansas Representative to vote ‘yea’ for the Omnibus bill on December 18 th, 2015, which is an outrageous defection from his supposed conservative values. If you’re confused, frustrated and angry, you are not alone. We have a candidate, Lt. Colonel Greg Goode (R), who, as a battle tested leader and constitutional conservative, is prepared to make our 3rd Congressional District’s conservative principles number one.

The Omnibus Bill was a total betrayal of the Republican Party’s platform and principles, but, more importantly, a betrayal of the good people of the 3rd Congressional District.

A brief overview reveals that this negotiated, behindcloseddoors legislation saddled us with:

  •  Base level spending increased by $80 billion over two years
  •  Full funding of ObamaCare
  •  Full funding of Planned Parenthood, even with all of the evidence that many PP ‘clinics’ sell aborted babies’ parts
  •  Full funding of Illegal Immigrants’ welfare and ‘entitlements’
  • Full funding of increased numbers of refugees, along with refugees’ welfare and ‘entitlements’, without any additional resources dedicated to vetting of refugees being imported into the U. S.
  • Full funding of Sanctuary cities and communities that refuse to comply with existing law
  • Quadrupling of H2B visas, stealing more jobs from U. S. citizens
  • Stripping limits on EPA regulations, allowing for massively destructive Coal Power Plant rules, the Ozone rule and the contentious, ‘Waters of the United States’ rule to be imposed upon us. NOTE: Being in Kansas, due to our reliance upon coal fired electricity, the Coal Power Plant rules are especially crippling to residential, commercial, agricultural and government users of electricity
  • A deceptive, taxpayer funding of Climate Change (page 605)
  •  Cyber Surveillance/Security enabling intelligence and law enforcement entities to collect private information without a warrant
  • Bailout of the International Money Fund (IMF), increasing U. S. participation to fund bailouts in other countries!!
  •  $1.2 billion in new, taxpayer funding of the Department of Education

This list is far from being exhaustive. With over 2,000 pages that were not read by Representatives and Senators, prior to being voted upon, U. S. taxpaying citizens continue to be attacked by those who have sworn an oath to represent and protect us. We can’t control who represents districts outside of the 3rd District of Kansas, but we can elect someone who will represent us. Now is the time to make your vote count beyond Election Day!

Greg Goode Files For U.S. Congress

For Immediate Release:

Goode For Congress

Greg Goode announces candidacy for Congress
By Media Relations, Lt. Colonel Greg Goode (retired) for Congress

16 May, 2016

US House Congressional District #3 of Kansas – LTC Greg Goode (ret), a constitutional conservative Republican, has announced his candidacy for U.S. Representative, 3rd District of Kansas. Goode will provide 3rd District constituents a voice in Washington not shackled by corruption, fraud and special interest money as is currently the case.  Lt. Colonel Goode (ret) recognizes voters must have a choice in order for them to hold their representatives accountable …a Goode Choice.

Greg states, “Our sovereign republic is destroyed when Wall Street and Big Banks pay the price of admission to gain special access to and special favors from Congress.  As your 3rd District Congressman I will not participate in this disgrace.  I will not take money from any PAC.   I am career military, not a career politician in the pocket of Establishment Republicans.”

Greg continues, “Outside our district, our Congressman, Kevin Yoder, is infamous as one of the 12 congressmen under ethics investigation for pay-to-play with the payday lending industry.  This practice, rampant in Washington, takes big, big bucks from Wall Street Banks then gives those banks big, big favors, exemplified by the Citigroup amendment carried my our Congressman. I encourage you all to look it up.”

Greg continues, “Congressman Kevin Yoder also shamefully carried Planned Parenthood’s bloody water by voting on December 18th 2015 for Planned Parenthood’s full funding along with Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel.”

He continues, “We the People can no longer stand silent as Washington insiders fund a social agenda that kills our unborn and foists the LGBT vision of America upon our school children.  Planned Parenthood must be defunded and the Department of Education must be closed.  No to tax dollars for Planned Parenthood and no to Washington dictating how we run our schools, much less our bathrooms.”

Greg concludes, “I am proud to be a US Army Soldier for Life who will fight for the people of the 3rd District as hard as I have fought to defend our nation throughout the world from the Cold War to Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

LTC Greg Goode (ret) is a battle tested leader and constitutional conservative. You are invited to provide input to his campaign:
